Architect/Senior Browser Engineer

 

 

Duties/Responsibilities: 
Design and implement the mobile web browser for our handheld products.
Work with us to invent new ways to improve the performance and layout of
web content on mobile devices. Work collaboratively with a
multidisciplinary team to successfully take the software through the
entire development cycle (design, implementation, maintenance).  Ability
to think "Out of the Box" in creating advanced concepts to solve complex
issues.
Qualifications: 

*	Five or more years of software engineering experience desired

Skills/Experience: 

*	Experience in several software projects from design through
delivery; demonstrated design skills; proficient C and C++ coding and
debugging skills, good problem solving skills
*	Knowledge of markup languages and data transport protocols, such
as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WML, XHTML, DHTML, XML, SVG, TCP/IP, HTTP, and
SSL
*	Record of architecting and/or leading middleware projects based
on these technologies


Nice to Have Experience:


*         XUL (XML User-interface Language)


*         XBL (XML binding language)


*         RDF (Resource Description Framework)

*         Microsoft COM (Component Object Model) and/or CORBA (Common
Object Request Broker Architecture <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CORBA>
)


*         Embedded devices experience


 

 

Education: 

*	M.S. degree in Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent

 

**We also need Rich UI Engineers- the perfect candidate will have
Browser framework experience (e.g. Mozilla); We will sponsor and
relocate individuals to Richardson, TX for these opportunities.  Please
