I've researched this issue and found, that jrex needs some additional non-trivial coding or special x window manager to be used in headless. Ther= e are some alternatives for jrex. non-free: webrenderer - very good, uses mozilla engine, has headless build. icebrowser - pure java browser, has headless support free: htmlunit - very good api, poor implementation (still has many bugs). pure java. Only headless mode :) webclient - similar to jrex, but it is not a dead project. I'ts rather good= , uses mozilla engine, doesn't have headless mode - same problem as in jrex.
