I've been reading the previous thread on this topic, and will echo what 
previous people have written:

Because you want to use the Firefox trademarks (the word "Firefox" and 
the Firefox logo) to describe your product *and* because what you want 
to distribute is *not* the unmodified Firefox binary version as 
distributed by the Mozilla Corporation, then you can do this *if and 
only* if you apply for and receive permission from the appropriate 
people. You should start by sending your request via email to 
[email protected], which will ensure that your request reaches the 
appropriate people.

If you do *not* use the Firefox trademarks, but rather use your own name 
and logo for the version you are distributing, then you do *not* need 
additional permission of any sort; all the permissions you need are 
contained within the copyright right license for the source code (e.g., 
the MPL).

Note that here we are discussing use of the Firefox trademarks, *not* 
the use of the Mozilla trademarks (i.e., the word "Mozilla" and the 
Mozilla "red dinosaur" logo). The Mozilla trademarks are covered by the 
same general policy as the Firefox trademarks, but in practice that 
policy may be (and I suspect in the past has been) applied slightly 
differently. So you can't necessarily use an example of software 
distributed under the Mozilla name (whether by Adam Lock or anyone else) 
and infer from that what might be permitted or not permitted for 
products distributed under the Firefox name.
