To clarify, by mostly I mean language support is the most significant _difference_ between the two, and it favours Google Translate. The most important _factor_ in making the decision was actually quality, but we were unable to find any serious research favouring one service over the other. Ideally, we'll have an opportunity to conduct such research on our own (because of the specifics of the content we localize), and see which service (if any) works better for which locale (and maybe even for which project).
