I'have resolved the issue n. 2 with vo=x11 in /etc/mplayerplug-in.conf

For the video on site www.repubblica.it search for this, on the home page 
(proxy issue):

When I go to the repubblica.it site and try to find a video they are all
in flash. So can you give me specific items to click on so that I can
duplicate your problem.

The proxy issue might be a bug with mplayer, but I am not sure at the
moment.

Can you try setting your vo to only X11? It looks to me like your video
driver does not like embedding XV in a container. You can also try
upgrading mplayer to something more recent. I believe there is a bug
that has been fixed that may specifically address this problem.
