I can't really debug it much since you don't ship GDB with the live cd. I did notice something in the output log that kinda told me where it was last and I did make a minor patch to the code. I've committed that patch to CVS. I've tested that patch on the live cd and I have been unable to break it since. Can you please test it out on your machine.
