Firefox freezes when closing tab with embedded video

Hello,

first, thanks for this great piece of software where finally one can watch 
embedded videos on linux (and other machines)!

Nevertheless, I have problems with the plug-in:
Everytime I want to close a tab where a video is embedded firefox freezes (I 
have to kill the process). Is this a known bug? I have firefox 2.0.0.6 and 
plugin-version 3.45 (compiled from sources with gtk etc.).
