flash in quicktime

Sorry if this has been addressed before, but it's my first time seeing it.

My gf desperately needs to play some animations for school.  They work 
find in Quicktime for Windows, but not with mplayerplugin.

Oddly, they seem to be a series of flash animations embedded in a 
quicktime wrapper.  Have you ever seen this before?  If so, shouldn't it 
be possible to make them work?  Her computer (Mandriva Linux) plays 
flash and quicktime just fine individually.
