The video is 720x486 with square pixels and that's how it's shown for me both by
mplayerplug-in (every run) and mplayer svn with and without loop 0.

Which version of mplayer have you installed (mplayer -v)? Are you using
monitorpixelaspect in your mplayer configuration file?
