Switching the config so that I am using something other than xv fixed it for me, thanks. FYI: I got slightly different behavior with all three video output devices - gv was the worst followed by x11 followed by gl (gl being the best). > ------------------------------ > > Message: 4 > Date: Thu, 1 Nov 2007 03:06:05 +0000 (UTC) > From: Carl Eugen Hoyos <[email protected]> > Hi! > > The video is 720x486 with square pixels and that's how it's shown > for me both by > mplayerplug-in (every run) and mplayer svn with and without loop > 0. > > Which version of mplayer have you installed (mplayer -v)? Are you > using monitorpixelaspect in your mplayer configuration file? more fyi: Version: MPlayer dev-SVN-rUNKNOWN-4.1.2 (C) 2000-2007 MPlayer Team (I know that's not much help - for once I'm not the sys admin, so someone else is the keeper of the version). monitorpixelaspect is not set in mplayerplug-in.conf regardless, I'm solved with a new driver. I have some more questions about seeking inside a video with the javascript funcs, but I want to experiment with that a bit so I can formulate a proper question.
