I was probably thinking of xvidix vs xv...

I have no idea what is going on with that. I did try gecko-mediaplayer
with firefox 3 and didn't notice any problems. I guess I'll have to try
mplayerplug-in. But so far what you are saying doesn't make a whole lot
of sense. I can't see how changing the brower plugin library would
affect the function of the fullscreen button.

Did you ever try another window manager?
