It works. With this embed tag I can play video from a rtsp stream server.

Yes I know, this Ubuntu version is really old :-) But for now I must use this old system..

I just removed the totem packages, then it worked.

One additional question: Is it possible to play Motion JPEG? (this file format is not listed on the project website under supported media types.
