The easiest way to fix this is probably to reinstall from scratch.
Close down Mozilla (including QuickLaunch) before starting.

Note: I haven't tested this, so be sure to make backups of all files
deleted/altered.

* Go to <mozilla installation dir>/chrome/ and edit the file
installed-chrome.txt. Find all lines (if any) that refer to
Googlebox and remove them. Delete (or rename) chrome.rdf in the same
directory and delete the googlebox.jar file (if it exists).

* Go to your profile directory. See
http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.phtml?title=Mozilla_Suite_:_FAQs_:_Pro
file (all one line) for details of how to find your profile if you
don't already know). From the profile directory, remove
googlebox.jar and googlebox.rdf

* from the <profile dir>/chrome/ directory, delete (or rename) the
chrome.rdf file and delete the overlayinfo directory.

* Reinstall Googlebox from the website

Raj.

If you're not part of the solution you're part of the precipitate.
