problems updating to 1.6.4

I tried to upgrade to multiz 1.6.4 and I keep getting a message when I 
type help about m that I am using 1.6.3.1b.
also I get duplicates of many of the menu items including the bookmarks.
how can i fix this? do i need to uninstall mzilla and the reinstall it?
Multizilla is a great add on ! keep up the great work
