downloading newsgroup binary files

I'm using Mozilla Mail as my newsgroup reader. I have
subscribed to a "binaries" NG that has mp3's, but all
I get in Mozilla Mail is garbled text, like this:

Can Mozilla Mail download mp3 binaries? Am I doing
