All that I can say is that I've been running MultiZilla with 
trunk nightlies on an XP system for an awfully long time now 
without problems.

Try deleting the files compreg.dat and xpti.dat in the <mozilla 
installation directory>/components/ directory (with Mozilla -- 
including QuickLaunch -- closed) and trying again.

Oh, and you should be using at least the last released version of 
MultiZilla -- 1.6.4.0b, rather than 1.6.3.2.
