Now everytime I go to the Preference Manager -> General, it says

Error: uncaught exception: 2147500035

Once I close that out I get a bunch of instances of

Error: window.getComputerStyle(this._previewImage,"") has no properties

I can't figure out which extension is making the exception, but I was able to replicate the above
error in a fresh install, but not reliably.  It has something to do with the Preference Manager -> General tab.

Also, I noticed this while toggling options trying to replicate.
If I go to the last tab and disable update checking, later renabling it does not take.  After looking more, it looks like nothing 
on the Preference Manager -> Misc tab saves the setting reliably.
