I may not understand exactly what you're doing, but I just tried it on mine and it works okay. I have "Switch to the existing tab" selected in the duplicate link protection part of MZ config. I created a bookmark on my personal toolbar to www.google.com and opened it in a tab. I then opened a new tab, clicked my bookmark, and it took me back to the original tab. That is how it should work. Then, I searched for something in that tab, opened a new tab and clicked my bookmark. It loaded www.google.com in the new tab and left the original tab (with search results), again this is how I think it should work. If yours is doing something different, then it seems something isn't working right :) I am using SM 1.1.16 and MZ 1.8.3.5i (nightly build) so maybe something was fixed between your version and mine. Of course there are pros and cons of using the nightly, for me it works great but there have been others who have unresolved issues. You might want to try replacing your multiviews.jar with one of the revisions from here: http://www.mozdev.org/source/browse/multizilla/downloads/multiviews-nightly.jar Good luck.
