I haven't updated since 1.1.14. I always put off upgrading because I end up 
having to reinstall most extensions. In trying to figure out the cause of 
the current problem, I did notice the setting that you and Rubens mention, 
but I'd purposely turned it on a long time ago so that if I accidentally 
found a site while searching that was the same as one I already had, it 
wouldn't open up two tabs for it, which is also annoying. I agree that this 
must be something new with Google because I also often have several searches 
going on at the same time. But for now I've turned it off and it does 
eliminate the Google tab problem. The other issue doesn't happen that often, 
so maybe it won't be a big deal. Thanks Rubens and Glenn.
