Interviewed by CNN on 1/11/2009 01:20, Peter Potamus the Purple Hippo told the world: > OK boys and girls, I've tested this so I know it works. > > You need to "download" _MultiZilla v1.9.0.1a (for > SuiteRunner builds only)_ from here: > http://multizilla.mozdev.org/installation/installation.html. > > Now, you use a zip program and unzip the files and > directories. I had tried it during the betas (not by editing install.rdf, just by disabling compatibility check) and I couldn't make it work. I mean, I could install it, but I couldn't use it. But you said it worked, so I gave it another try... ...turns out that the problem I had (couldn't open the Multizilla Preferences) had an easy workaround: just go to the add-on manager, select Multizilla and click on "options." This is the second extension in which I noticed this -- apparently there was some other path to the extension Preferences in the old code that no longer works. The QuickPrefs button on the Multizilla toolbar seems to be broken, so I disabled it. Well, it's not perfect, but this Multizilla seems to be very close to full functionality on SM2. Gives me some hope that the toolkit conversion eventually will be finished. Googlebox, though, I couldn't even *install* -- got a "missing installation script" message. The other good news I got this weekend... yesterday I visited Johannes Schellen's site, to check on his most excellent "Pinball" theme and, while there isn't a 2.0 version yet, he posted a "stay tuned" remark regarding it. So it *seems* he is working on converting it to SM2. -- MCBastos This message has been protected with the 2ROT13 algorithm. Unauthorized use will be prosecuted under the DMCA. -=-=- ...
