Some versions of WinZip, for instance, by default includes the current folder name when you zip an entire folder; this is inconsistent with Winzip's own defaults when *unzipping* to a folder... so every time you unzip to a subfolder and then zip it back, it adds a new folder level. To cure it, you have to disable the "'Add to' includes folder information" box in "Explorer Enhancements."
