How to check the functionality of new custom cipher added to NSS ?

Hello,

1. I have added a new custom symmetric cipher to NSS. [thunderbird for TLS establishment]

2. Now, I want to test its functionality. What should be the proper way ?

3. I dont want to test with my server just want to test locally if possible ?
