It's getting rather hard to read this thread now. That was my first
stats post [1] and as it turns out from numbers in a later post [2]
that 66% applies specifically to the population of Firefox users who
use addons. The total population using Firefox 5 is only just above
half of the Firefox user-base.

Yep. It's sort of strange that some people seem to think the numbers
are good here. Personally, I think 80-90% isn't even very good. I like
the rapid release cycle concept, though not quite all of its
execution, but it's beginning to annoy me how we want to release
rapidly but haven't really done anything with the updater to go with
it yet.
