Asa, your response here is in my opinion a good example about what's going wrong. There's a rebellion in process and you try to get over it with flowery language. It's the same flowery language we are nowadays constantly bombarded with from companies trying to sell their products, or politicians trying to buy your vote, or... telling us that everything is perfect, while in the real world it isn't at all. Mozilla is NOT a for-profit company and that's a fundamental reason why I'm using Firefox, by sure not being alone. You absolutely need to care about the community, otherwise the project will fail, because it can't offset an angered community with big marketing as it may often work out for for-profit companies. Assuming you made great contributions to the project in the past, I'm very sorry about the situation you got into because of this minor issue which in reality is just a symbolic placeholder for a more general discussion. But at this point going with your head through the wall would definitely be a lose-lose situation.
