My bloviated meandering follows what Robert Kaiser graced us with on 8/21/2011 8:06 AM: > Sailfish schrieb: >> I wonder if it would be helpful to enable the F1 key to bring up the >> Firefox Help page much like Windows does? > > AFAIK, that functionality was there but has been removed after a study > revealed that almost nobody pressing it knew what it would do and the > vast majority was surprised by a "random" website suddenly popping up. > I thought it had worked at some distant point in the past but haven't used it in so long I couldn't be sure. :) However, what with the significant UI/UX changes intro'd in Fx4 and the subsequent rapid release cycle it might be worth re-enabling it. Essentially, having a quick and easy way to bring up the "New Features" page for those of use who boldly and vainly ignored reading them when we initially upgraded. Then, get the word out that it's there again. -- Sailfish - Netscape Champion Netscape/Mozilla Tips: http://www.ufaq.org/ , http://ilias.ca/ Rare Mozilla Stuff: https://www.projectit.com/
