Except that's not where most people will look for it. And according to you, that's by design. You are moving it somewhere where it will be _less_ findable (otherwise, why would you bother?). You are doing it to decrease confusion about version numbers - but it is going to _increase_ confusion for this use case, as users are unable to answer the question they want answered. Putting information about whether you are on the latest version or not in the About box is an excellent idea. Removing the version number is not - because it will have more effects than solving the problem you are focussed on. Gerv
