But wouldn't it *hurt* to have to adapt to using two different menus,
depending on where you were?

See, as a strong example, my experience with two different keyboard layouts.
I need my mother-tongue layout so I can use accents on letters (to
write my name properly?), and I need the English layout to be able to
write html.
(This English keyboard does not physically have the key that in my
mother-tongue-layout has the >< signs.)
If it had that key I would just blind-type using my mother-tongue
layout. Or I would change the keyboard - if I could.
But no, so I to flip between keyboard layouts. My "brain" doesn't like
the extra concentration and guesswork.
