Rapid Release is less of a packaged application, more of a "feed" presentation. Chrome lives on the always-on 'net, wants to be an operating system. Mozilla wants to change/compete with that... but they ought to run 'parallel' systems, as is done with many significant changeovers... a LongTerm Support release for those that need/choose it, besides the rapid-release for security/competition currency. How about a year- date- version LTS rollup release... continuously available to all, obviously not auto-updated? In ever greater rushing for change/currency, planning and parallel operation is tending to be left behind... bad idea.
