On the mozilla wiki "about version" page Asa Dotzler wrote: > 2. Users & use cases > > Asa heard something about a new version of Firefox on the radio and he's not sure if he's got it or not. He opens the About dialog and is comforted to read that he is on the latest version of Firefox as of Firefox's last check > 1 minute ago. but consider this situation: Cyko heard something about firefox 9.0, currently in the aurora channel, having a new feature that he has been waiting for for months. The radio station did not mention that 9.0 is currently in the aurora channel and when he checks the about dialog it shows only that he is up to date. We lose aurora testers and the feature later shows up with bugs or poorly implemented. Cyko must check "troubleshooting information" (although his version of firefox is working perfectly) or google to find out what version he is and which channel he needs to change to.
