The themes of Alfred Kayser (LittleFox, MicroFox, and Walnut) use small 
icons and arrange the screen space for largest viewport, so there is 
more space for the web content. These themes are also available for 
Thunderbird and SeaMonkey.

Firefox has the option to hide the tab bar when there is only one tab 
open. There is also the option to toggle Firefox between normal and full 
screen mode. I believe there are keyboard shortcuts to toggle full 
screen mode on all platforms-- on IBM PC, it is F11.
