Hi, this one might seem like its from a bit left field, but bear with
me please. I'm currently a medical student and have run into some
women in clinical practice who have been victims of domestic violence.
When looking up what resources are available, I came across this
website - http://www.dvrcv.org.au/ - where I immediately noticed the
large exit button. Whilst this may help a few, I would imagine that
some women have been victimised in the past when their browsing and
search histories have been discovered - I have met women who have been
assaulted when organisation business cards or hotline numbers have
been found in their purses. I don't see why a record of such searches
needs to be kept by browsers or on the users machine - I feel the
inconvenience to the majority of having to re-type the search is
outweighed by the safety benefit to a minority.

Thanks for your time,

- F
