write avi of sequence of tiff

Hi, i am an absolute newbie with avifile. 
 
I want to create a small videofile from a sequence of tiff pictures i
generated. 
I develope with kdevelop. 
I also have problems to include the avi libs. 
 
I have installed the avifile rpm and avifile-devel rpm. 
 
Can somebody send me  links for good tutorials or can give me some hints?
