May I ask then: what do you use?

And since you are back, I'd line to re-post a piece of my old email to
this forum:

    (2) [...] When I'm recording from a video camera, and there is a
    several second long gap in the recording on the tape, avicap will,
    at the end of the gap, switch to a TV channel, while continuing
    recording.

    I wonder if there's [...] a quick fix for (2).
