Playing AVI Files In OpenGL

my name is peter, iam new to opengl and i dont know
anything about avi, i read the tutorial from

Playing AVI Files In OpenGL, and i download for testing

http://nehe.gamedev.net/data/lessons/linux/lesson35.tar.gz

so the video works fine but with out audio.
My question is, how can i have and audio under linux
is anybody that can help.
