Not an URL

I'm using aviplay now for a long time and I am very happy about it :) it is=
 small and it can play nearly every stream I feed it with. Thank you for th=
is great work!

Today I tried following URL: http://208.53.131.29:8000
It seems that aviplay does not like IP addresses after http://

It would be great if anyone can tell me how I will be able to play this str=
eam too...

1) perhaps a patch or even the source file where the url check is?
2) is there any config option which I haven't seen yet?
and so on...
