Fail to build avifile under linux 8.0

Hi avifile guys,

I download the following two files from
sourceforge.net:
avifile-0.7-0.7.41.tar.gz
binaries-011002.tgz
and uncompress the former to '/usr/local' and the
latter to '/usr/lib'. Such that source files are in
'/usr/local/avifile-0.7-0.7.41' and binaries are in
'/usr/lib/win32'.

Next I begin to install on my box(Redhat Linux 8.0,
gcc 3.2 20020903, GNOME 2.0, xFree 86 4.2) and get the
following error messages:
