Annoying window modes

The way the windows are organized isn't really on purpose .. the original XMMS fetches all its subwindows and does the same task on them as soon as the user demands a view changes. As an example, if you tell XMMS to minimize itself all component windows are minimized as well. BMP doesn't do this and yet I haven't figured a way to do it at all. Since I don't want just the playlist or the equalizer to show up on my desktop this is barely the only missing "feature" BMP lacks that keeps me away from using it on a regular basis.
