use demultiplexed files (m2v/mp2 elementary streams) as input?

The current method for me is:

-demux the *.ts recording, which creates video (m2v) and audio (mp2, mpa or 
ac3)

- multiplex the streams with mplex using "-f 8"  to get a *.mpg

-use the mpg file as input for dvdauthor.

As every Linux authoring tool seems to use dvdauthor,  I found no way with 
linux to author a DVD directly from the elemantary streams. 
(There may be tools with a GUI that allows using them, but AFAIK the 
application will use mplex internally)

For now, I am still using the windows application TMPGENc DVD Author with 
wine, because it can handle elementary streams directly. It saves a lot of 
time compared to the additional usage of mplex.

Is it possible to add a feature in dvdauthor that allows using elementary 
streams as input?
