So, what do I need?

I recently installed a fresh new lucid lynx system and, of course, a recent build of dvdauthor was 
needed :-)
I see there is actually no list of requested packages to build the suite. I had to install:
libxml2-dev
gettext (ubuntu 10.04 only provides a `gettext-base' minimal package, this one is needed for gnu iconv)
libpng-dev (this brings zlib-dev if I remember well)
bison
flex
freetype
fontconfig
dev package either for image-magick or graphics-magick
automake
autoconf
(the last two are for building from a svn tree, so if one gets a svn tarball, then maybe he knows 
the game well enough to get things working on his own)
Are these informations useful for the user? I would expect to read them in an `INSTALL' file, 
wouldn't you?
