That’s not a subtitle text file. Trying to play it with ffplay (part of 
FFmpeg) shows:

   Duration: 00:21:53.45, start: 0.000000, bitrate: N/A
     Stream #0.0: Subtitle: [0][0][0][0] / 0x0000
     Stream #0.1: Attachment: [0][0][0][0] / 0x0000

       filename        : res.ttf

That’s not a format that spumux can handle.
