Dvbcut is a bit quirky I guess. It put the dvbcut XML in a file on disk, but
the dvdauthor XML was only output on screen. I captured that via cut and
paste to an XML file:
<dvdauthor dest="Buffy the Vampire Slayer     1992">
  <vmgm />
    <titleset>
        <titles>
              <pgc>
                      <vob file="moviename.mpg"
chapters="00:00:00.000,00:01:14.441,00:05:01.267,00:10:03.002,00:15:55.854,00:20:36.668,00:24:40.579,00:29:58.229,00:35:43.307,00:42:32.950,00:48:04.815,00:52:53.770,00:59:44.280,01:02:44.560,01:07:26.709,01:10:15.511,01:14:27.429,01:18:59.301,01:21:19.140,01:25:22.450"
/>
              </pgc>
        </titles>
    </titleset>
</dvdauthor>

Doing 'dvdauthor -o /outputdir -x moviename.xml' produced:

	...
	INFO: Converting filenames to UTF-8
	INFO: dvdauthor creating VTS
	STAT: Picking VTS 01
	STAT: Processing moviename.mpg...
	STAT: VOBU 0 at 0MB, 1PGCs
	Segmentation fault.

CPU is Cedar Mill 3.2GHz P4 running on 32bit openSUSE 11.2. dvdauthor is
0.6.18. I did all the burning/dvd-related updates I could find from Packman
today using YaST2 GUI. Kaffeine plays the content of the moviename.mpg dir
correctly, but my VLC-beta is apparently incapable of outputting video from
anything currently.
