Text Subtitles With Spumux 0.7.0

One of the areas that was reworked in 0.7.0 is rendering of text
subtitles in spumux. You can now specify fonts in a much easier way
(with Fontconfig), and you can specify colours for filling the text and
for its outline border. You can also specify a shadow offset and colour.

The proportions of the text are now adjusted for the distortion caused
by the pixels being arranged on a non-square grid. This means the glyph
shapes look as close as possible to the way the designer intended them
to look. This requires that spumux be told whether you are rendering for
PAL or NTSC, and whether the aspect ratio is 4:3 or 16:9.

Tip: Fontconfig provides the fc-match command, which you can use to
find out which precise font will match a particular specification. For
example, what font will be used if I just say “arial”? Try this:

    fc-match -f "%{file}\n" arial

which on my current system setup returns this font file name:

    /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSans.ttf

Colour specifications take an array of new forms, which should be
familiar to users of ImageMagick. The old “RRGGBB” hex format is
deprecated, but you can use HTML-style “#RRGGBB” instead. You can also
specify colours in HSV or HSL colour space, which produce results that
are easier to predict than RGB. You can include an alpha-channel
component for transparency effects. Or you can use any of the 600-odd
standard colour names that ImageMagick recognizes.
