Okay, so I feel a little like an idiot. I never paid attention to the fact that the images for the subtitles that I was using were black text on a transparent background. When overlayed on my wide screen movie, the would be black text on a black background, thus causing them to be invisible. So, here's a question: why are the subtitle images coming out as black/transparent with spuunmux? I originally ripped the subtitle images from a dvd I made many years ago and wanted to remaster, since something happened to the disc that makes some players, like my new bd player, not like it. The subtitles on the original are white/transparent (I have verified this with both hardware and software players).
