Well I do appreciate the help even though clearly the issue was not dvdauthor. Do you know anything else in regards to why there would be such a difference in how two different hardware players would deal with a menu mpg? The Pioneer is something like 12 years old and the Toshiba is probably only 5 years old or so. I guess I'm trying understand if the frame count is the actual core issue or if by adjusting the frame count downward I am actually affecting some other hidden variable.
