Making progress

Not to do with infer, it seems to be related to colors used

So far testing shows problem does not occur if

Only one of image/select/highlight is defined
all point to the same file
all three have the same colour

All three are generated on the fly by GD and the only difference is
the color ie

'image'=>[$blue,$black],
'highlight'=>[$green,$blue],
'select'=>[$red,$white],
(first color background, second foreground)
