Error running DARKTABLE and gphoto2 on Mac Mini x86 (Monterey) and M2 (Sonoma)

When running darktable and attempting to connect to Nikon D300s camera, I get a message indicating no attached camera.
I ran gphoto2 and captured logs as described in troubleshooting part of user manual.
I don’t see any place where any other app has the USB port locked, but there does seem to be an issue here.
Any ideas? Log file attached.

Debugging messages may help finding a solution to your problem.
If you intend to send any error or debug messages to the gphoto
developer mailing list <[email protected]>, please run
gphoto2 as follows:
env LANG=C gphoto2 --debug --debug-logfile=my-logfile.txt --port usb: --capture-image-and-download
Please make sure there is sufficient quoting around the arguments.
