Canon PowerShot G7X Mark II - cannot get endless preview

Hi,

I am trying out my Canon G7X to have an endless preview duration by 
calling 'gp_camera_capture_preview()' in a loop (of course cleaning up 
via gp_file_unref()). This is working well for some time and then 
gp_camera_capture_preview() does not get a preview anymore.

It seems that it is related to the setting 'Power Saving' - 'Display 
Off'. It seems that the preview is only available for that specific 
amount of time, with a maximum value of 3 minutes. Is there any way to 
avoid this?

In general, I am trying to understand better how libgphoto2 is 
communicating with the camera. So any tip or trick is welcome.

I have included a few log files, hoping to provide the information that 
is required. If it matters, this is on Ubuntu 22.04
