Canon M10 problems

Hi there,

I just bought a Canon M10 and I am trying to connect it to my desktop
(ubuntu 16.04 LTS). Connecting itself works, I can browse images but
now I would like to capture some images, which does not work. (From
the docs I assume that the M10 should be supported)

Do I have to do something to the camera to make it work?
Do I have to do more to the desktop than unmounting the camera
after plugging in?
