Image review on camera screen

Hello, building a photobooth using gphoto, I ran into an issue and would be glad for a hint. After shooting a photo, my camera (canon 650d) normally shows an image review on its screen for a configured amount of seconds. But when triggering with gphoto the screen just goes black for short, then is in liveview again. Is image review on the camera screen possible while triggering with gphoto?
