7D Capture Tethered (redux)

I’ve reviewed my notes from quite a while ago now and don’t see that I was ever able to get this working. I’m on a 7D Mark II with a fresh build of all tools from GitHub, using gphotofs on a 7D Mark II. Issue that I’m trying to get around is the fact that the camera shows that it’s busy when connected to gphotofs and won’t allow taking of additional photos. This is when using USB 3.0 Micro-B connection to a computer. Tried to resolve this by using USB 2.0 Micro B, which left the camera able to shoot, however the new images didn’t show up on the card nor did they show in gphotofs. This was tested with both the SD card and the CF card installed. Ideas? Anything that I can assist with to do the debug on this?
